Stubborn Hope: A Gospel Poem

In shadows deep, where hope seemed far, Humanity wandered, marked by every scar, A world entwined in sin’s relentless night, Yearning for dawn’s first gentle light.

Yet in the midst of our deepest despair, A whisper of hope filled the heavy air, A promise spoken through ages long, Of a Savior who’d right every earthly wrong.

Born in a stable, humble and mild, The Hope of the world, a precious child, He walked among us, God’s love revealed, His grace and mercy, our wounds were healed.

Through dusty roads and stormy seas, He taught of a kingdom where hearts find ease, Where hope resides, unshaken by fear, In the Gospel of Christ, our Savior near.

He turned the hopeless into the hopeful, you see, With parables, miracles, and boundless mercy, The blind could see, the lame could walk, He whispered to storms, and they hushed their talk.

But in the darkest hour, on a hill so high, The world watched Hope on a cross crucified, Yet even in death, His purpose was clear, To conquer sin’s grip, release every fear.

Three days later, the tomb stood bare, The chains of death broken, no longer there, For Christ arose, triumphant and free, To grant us the gift of eternity.

Now, in the Gospel’s radiant light, We find our hope, our endless sight, In Christ, our Savior, and His sacrifice, We’re offered redemption, forgiveness, and life.

So let the message of hope resound, From every corner, to all around, In Christ, our Savior, we’re found complete, In His Gospel of hope, our victory sweet.
